This Privacy Policy explains how RILABS PLC ("RILABS", "we", "our", or "us") accesses, collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information in connection with the BoatAngel mobile application ("BoatAngel" or the "App").
BoatAngel is used to help users locate, access, navigate to, and receive safety-related information about supported boats and related rental equipment.
Information We Access or Collect
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you allow, BoatAngel may access or process:

How We Use Information
We use information only for purposes related to providing and maintaining BoatAngel, including to:
- Enable QR code scanning and boat access workflows.
- Show relevant boat, rental, map, navigation, and safety information.
- Send important operational, service, and safety push notifications.
- Prevent misuse, investigate issues, maintain security, and troubleshoot the App.
- Improve App reliability and user experience.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
- Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, or contractual obligations.
Third-Party Service Providers
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate BoatAngel. These providers process data only for the services they provide to us and according to their own applicable terms and privacy notices.
- OneSignal. BoatAngel uses OneSignal for push notification delivery and related notification analytics. OneSignal may process notification tokens, device information, App interaction events, and delivery or engagement information. - Platform and infrastructure providers. We may use mobile platform, hosting, analytics, security, support, or infrastructure providers as needed to run the App and related services.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for third-party advertising. We may share data when necessary to provide the App, with service providers acting on our behalf, with rental or operational partners where needed to provide the requested service, or when required by law, legal process, safety, fraud prevention, or security obligations.
Permissions and User Choices
You can control App permissions through your device settings. If you disable camera, location, or notification permissions, some BoatAngel features may not work correctly. You may also opt out of push notifications through your device notification settings.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide BoatAngel, maintain safety and security, resolve disputes, support business operations, and comply with legal, accounting, or contractual obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the reason it is processed.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law. Some information may need to be retained where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, or legitimate business records.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through BoatAngel against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data.
Children
BoatAngel is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
